Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required Must be at least 18 years of age Experience in retail sales, customer service and cash handling Pleasant demeanor and professional appearance preferred Comfort level/experience accessing and entering information on a computer system Previous bank experience preferred but not required.
Must satisfactorily pass pre-employment tests and Teller Assessment Program test if candidate has no previous bank experience.
Good personal credit history required.
Essential Functions:
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; attention to detail, good organization, good customer service skills, positive attitude, cash handling and good mathematical skills.
Stand for extended hours or work in sedentary position for a period; manual dexterity including ability to key in repetitive motion; lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds; bend, stoop or crouch.
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Provide personal contact and currency related services for Bank customers.
Be able to refer products and services to the customer and process customer transactions.
MAJOR DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
The following major duties and responsibilities are not listed in any specific order of importance.
1.
Serve as the Bank's primary contact with its customers, both in providing service and account information/ balances; assist customers with questions on consumer and business products/services; route inquiries to appropriate personnel.
2.
Receive deposits and payments for all types of accounts, verify cash and negotiability of checks and issue receipts, giving credit for funds according to Bank policies.
3.
Cash checks and accept withdrawal requests in accordance with Bank policies, referring questionable transactions to a supervisor for approval.
4.
Sell official checks and money orders.
Maintain logs.
5.
Identify and cross-sell bank products and services based on customer needs.
Inform new customers of new products or programs they may benefit from.
Strive to reach individual/branch sales goals by participating in TSB's incentive program and maintain necessary logs.
6.
Follow all policies and procedures.
Report discrepancies or suspicious activity to supervisor.
7.
Greet customers both by telephone and in person in a friendly manner; answer incoming telephone calls, faxes and e-mails and assisting customers with questions on consumer and business account questions; able to locate appropriate information.
8.
Maintain assigned cash drawer and balance work daily.
9.
Assist with processing night deposits; maintain logs.
10.
Process bank transactions received by mail, completing necessary forms and providing appropriate receipts.
11.
Balance ATM and replenish supply as needed.
12.
Report all instances of fraud and kiting via the incident report.
13.
Provide assistance with scanning and maintenance of proof work.
14.
Place Reg.
CC holds on customers' accounts as needed or required.
Maintain current working knowledge of regulation CC.
15.
Redeem savings bonds for payment.
16.
Complete Currency Transaction Reports, Application to Purchase Negotiable Instruments with Cash, and other required forms when needed.
17.
Remain compliant with OFAC by checking the OFAC list for all non- customer transactions.
18.
Issue stop payment requests and affidavits for fraud.
19.
Maintain working current knowledge of TSB deposit products and services, electronic banking and credit card products to be able to discuss with customers'.
20.
Detect and report counterfeit currency in accordance with TSB policies and procedures.
21.
Comply with all laws and regulations, including Federal and State governing the operations of the Bank, its subsidiaries and affiliates.
22.
Comply with the roles and responsibilities outlined in the Bank Secrecy Act, Information Policy and General Security Procedures, Code of Ethics, Personnel Policy Manual and all other TSB policies and procedures.
23.
Carry out other duties as may be assigned or requested including, but not limited to, participation in volunteer and/or charitable activities which may occur outside of regularly scheduled business hours.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
